Can I try Podigee for free?
Absolutely. Podigee offers a free 14-day trial. No credit card required, and registration doesn't commit you to a subscription. You can upgrade to a paid plan anytime during the trial. If Podigee doesn't meet your expectations (it happens!), you don't need to do anything – your account will be frozen after 14 days and permanently deleted after some time.
Additionally, you can export to any platform or apps that support RSS feeds.
Can I host multiple podcasts under one account, and does it cost extra?
Yes, you can, and there are no additional fees. This is particularly advantageous because you can freely experiment with new formats, or alternatively, you can store your old podcasts and use Podigee as an archive for your past content. The only limiting factor is downloads – these are currently limited to 500 thousand downloads per month across your entire account. But that's enough for 99% of podcasters worldwide!
How can I cancel my subscription? What are the terms?
Podigee has no hidden commitments. You can cancel your subscription up to one day before renewal without any hassle.
Your content will be removed from platforms after a transition period.
If you need a short break in the future, you can pause your subscription for up to 3 months per year.
What audio formats can I upload?
We support almost all common audio formats. When in doubt, we recommend FLAC or WAV formats, alternatively MP3 with high bitrate (192kbps or higher). We have no upload or storage limits — so we recommend uploading the best possible audio quality to Podigee. The Podigee software automatically handles converting the audio format to the correct MP3 format preferred by platforms.
Occasionally I need 1-2 more hours of audio per month than usual, is that possible?
Short answer: Yes, it's possible. Complete answer: The Basic plan offers up to 4 hours of audio per month, the Advanced plan up to 6 hours, and the Business Pro plan has no limit. Let's say you've subscribed to the Advanced plan and regularly publish around 5-6 hours of audio but occasionally want to publish a special episode. You can do this by purchasing additional hours one-time. The price per extra audio hour is $5.
Can I make money with my podcast on Podigee?
The short answer is: yes, you can. It's actually very simple through the Podigee Ad Marketplace.

How do I publish my podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and others?
It's very simple with Podigee. In just a few clicks, you can export your podcast once to all major platforms.
After the initial setup, new content is automatically published on the platforms.
Podcast platforms don't deliver podcasts themselves. Podigee does that for you. The advantage is that you can upload your content in one place and publish everywhere.
Export to most platforms is included in all Podigee subscription tiers. However, some platforms, like YouTube, are included only in higher tiers due to increased complexity.
Does Podigee offer discounts for students, universities, and NGOs?
Yes. Students, public educational institutions like schools, kindergartens, colleges, universities, non-profit organizations and NGOs, as well as journalists, community members, and startups can receive up to 52% discount at Podigee.
To receive the discount, we need appropriate verification.
Basic Plus is the smallest package that covers the absolute basics, but nothing more.

You can switch to a larger or smaller package at any time.
Will my files ever be deleted?
Everything you've uploaded stays online until you withdraw it, delete it, or cancel your subscription. Of course, we operate in compliance with data protection regulations and adhere to legal retention periods.
How are 'audio hours' calculated?
When uploading each audio file, we measure its length in minutes. When it's published, we deduct exactly that amount from your quota.
If you don't want to worry about available quota, we recommend the "Business Pro" tier, which offers unlimited audio minutes, podcasts, and episodes so nothing stands in the way of your creativity!

If I subscribe to Podigee for a year near year-end, do I need to pay again in January?
Podigee software and service subscriptions can be paid either monthly or annually.
With annual payment, the subscription is always renewed exactly one year after signup or the last renewal. For example, if you start an annual subscription on November 15, 2025, it will renew exactly one year later on November 15, 2026.
With monthly payment, the subscription renews exactly one month after signup or the last renewal. Specifically, if you start your subscription on August 12, it will renew on September 12, October 12, November 12, and so on.
How secure are my data and content with Podigee?
Podigee takes data protection very seriously. Your data and content are stored on secure servers and protected by regular backups.

Can I host my podcast privately without publishing it?

Each month, you start fresh with a new time allotment. The available audio hours vary depending on the package level.
At Podigee, we don't measure usage based on the amount of megabytes consumed - which is too abstract a figure for most people.
Instead, we measure the hours (or minutes) of audio used. At Podigee, uploading an audio file doesn't cost anything in principle. Only when an episode is published is the time allotment used.
A podcast or podcast format (also known as a podcast series or show) consists of an unlimited number of episodes. Each podcast always has its own RSS feed.
*: 25,000 episodes are included at no cost. Each additional episode is charged at 0.01 € (1 Euro cent).
Teams are welcome at Podigee. It is possible to allow other people to collaborate on a podcast. Here's how it works: the package is tied to a main account that you use to perform critical actions such as creating or deleting a podcast, as well as manage your account in general. With the main account, you can create invitations for team members to edit a podcast and automatically send them an appropriate email.
It may happen that you need one or two additional audio hours in a particular month. So that you don't have to immediately upgrade to the next level, you can occasionally purchase individual hours.
If you already have one (or more) podcasts that you would like to move to Podigee, we will be happy to help you do so without losing any existing subscribers if possible. All we need is the RSS feed of your current podcast. The import can take up to one day depending on how much content you have, but usually it's only a few hours. After the migration, you will receive instructions from us on how to redirect the old feed to the Podigee feed. Your hour allotment is not used during the import!

This website is always automatically synchronized with the podcast information and new episodes are published there in the form of blog posts. Our Podigee Podcast Player and the Subscription Hub are also integral parts of every podcast website.
At Podigee, every podcast comes with its own simple website. This makes getting started with podcasting much easier, but many podcasters prefer to use their own website. Instead of using our simple website, you can configure Podigee so that all links and posts always point to your website. Together with the Podigee Podcast Player, you can make your podcast directly playable on your website.

Since 2016, Spotify has offered its own podcast directory, which is very popular among Spotify subscribers. At Podigee, as an official Spotify partner, we bring your podcast to Spotify without a submission process and without a long waiting period.
Unlike with other hosts, all podcasts registered on Spotify via Podigee are delivered with "Spotify Passthrough." That means your content isn't hosted on Spotify's own servers, but is served directly from us to the Spotify audience. This is more reliable, especially for podcasts with dynamic advertising, and also ensures that plays through Spotify are not severely delayed in your statistics.

You can optionally enable AI-generated transcriptions for your podcast. Every time you create a new episode, once encoding is complete, a transcript of the content will be created using AI tools.
Machine-generated transcriptions are not perfect, but they are an order of magnitude cheaper than transcriptions from specialized companies.
We also offer a transcript editor so you can correct the text later. For example, the transcription is displayed in the Podigee Podcast Player and is even searchable there. You can also display the transcription on your website to improve your podcast’s SEO.
